Wild Food Foraging in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly - 3rd Reprint has arrived!

It's exciting opening boxes. I remember when the first print of my first book; Wild Food Foraging in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly arrived. Just a single copy in the post; a real book with a smooth cover and filled with all the writing, photographs and recipes we'd been working on for the last 9 months. It was a lovely feeling; the results of all that labour of love in my hands, at last.

That was almost 4 years ago now.

Since then over 6,000 copies have been sold locally, and the latest addition (a box arrived at my house yesterday, and the rest are stored at Tormark) have had the text and images tweaked a little. Improvements we hope, to make things a little bit clearer and simpler.



If you've ever produced a book, or dreamt of doing so. You'll know it's a creative project that can take over your life, take up all your spare hours and there's no guarantee that any will sell, or that anyone, especially the author, will make any money. I've been blessed with the success of this little local book, though that was not the aim of the book.

The aim was to help bridge the gap and produce an accessible book that would cover our corner of the south west. To give something to people that could help them learn about and enjoy foraging in our beautiful landscape. To share what I know through images, text and recipes. May this pocket book continue to be useful and shared again and again.

And thank you for all of you who have bought it, use it, intend to use it, have given it away as a gift, or put it in your guest's library. I still teach and eat all the plants and seaweeds in the book, and since its creation have so much more to share (and there's always more to learn too). The book is available here and in venues across the south west.
