Do you go ahead if it’s raining?

Yes. Courses are only cancelled if the weather is consistently torrential or dangerous, or due to illness of the guide. Motto: There is no such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothing. This is an adventure into nature and the elements!

I don’t know which date I can make, can I buy an open ticket and choose the date later?

Yes. It is best to buy a gift voucher as they are valid for 12 months. Bear in mind that some courses book up quickly, so early booking is advisable.

Can I change my booking to another course?

If 4 weeks or more before your course/event, you can transfer to another course for a £5 admin fee. If less than 4 weeks before the event we regret that transfers to another course are not possible, though you’re always welcome to sell or give your place/s to someone else.

Can I bring my dog?

It depends on the course, the venue and your dog. Please check specific course details where it is listed if dogs are allowed (some beaches dogs are not allowed). The group dynamic is also considered, so I may ask your dog type, age and temperament, especially as I sometimes bring my dog as well.

Do you send out information beforehand about the course?

Yes. I send details to the whole group a few days beforehand reminding everyone of what to bring, wear, the timings and weather.

Do you give out notes after the course?

No, but I do follow up with an emailed list of the plants or seaweeds we cover, additional recipes, information and links. Most of the information I share is also in my books, which are for sale.

Can you cater for vegan, gluten-free or food allergies?

Yes, with enough notice. Please note that my kitchen is not vegan, gluten-free or nut-free, so I cannot guarantee that tasters I make are completely free from the foods you wish to or need to avoid.

Can you come and lead a foraging walk in my area?

I am always open to offering a bespoke foraging experience for you, depending how far away you are! Check out my offers here.

If you’re asking if I could run a public foraging course in your area. Possibly! It depends on how many people you know who are interested. Do consider this before getting in touch.

I’ll be travelling from out of the area to attend a course, do you offer reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs if the course is cancelled?

No, unfortunately not. I recommend you have a plan B that you can enjoy in the area in case the weather or unforeseeable circumstances means the course can’t go ahead.

Do you offer guest blog posts or paid advertising on your website?

No.

Do you need a web designer or SEO report?

No.

I’m buying some of your books for a gift and need those sending out today or very soon, is that possible?

You can always ask, and I will if I can. However I normally send out books once a week due to capacity.
