Walk With nature, rather than on it or through it
Just to let you know how appreciative my holiday guests were of the Sensory walk they went on with you this week . You rate with the Newquay Aquarium as highlights of the holiday, which is pretty impressive! It was just perfect for them. Angie Butler, Cornwall www.holidaycottages.co.uk
Our senses are often under-utilised, which can stop us from fully appreciating our surroundings and from connecting to our natural abilities as humans. In particular, we often over-use our sense of sight and miss many opportunities to experience and enjoy nature.
On this walk we will spend time connecting to each of our senses in turn; touch, smell, taste, hearing and sight, and allowing each sense to lead us on a walk...
I will lead you through some basic exercises to help open each sense, and then we will walk, sense and explore the beautiful area of Cape Cornwall together.
Walks can be fun, enlivening, meditative, and help improve your connection with self, others and the environment. Suitable for adults and children - this can change your perspective on life!
**This walk will include some tasting (optional) of wild edible plants, flowers or seeds.
Dates for 2010: 21st Mar, 2nd June, July 7th, 24th July, 4th Aug **More dates to be arranged
